According to the American Express OPEN’s research, 80% of small business contractors who are on the GSA Schedule have annual revenues of $1 million or more and derive almost half – 47% – of their annual revenues (at least $500,000 per year) from their federal contracts!
With a GSA Schedule contract, small businesses have the potential to dramatically expand their revenues. GSA Schedule contracts continue to be the go-to source for federal buying and are a common point of entry for commercial and emerging companies new to federal contracting. In FY11, GSA Schedule sales totaled almost $40 billion. Still, there are many small business owners who are not equipped with the proper knowledge to take advantage of these opportunities.
