If someone slapped you in the face would you support and vote for them? Or, if they spit in your face and you thought it was raining than you will vote for our prestigious Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He did the above when he overturned our votes to have term limits. He is an example of why there is a dire need for term limits.
At first, he did a great job and worked tirelessly. Unfortunately, it happens to many politicians who gain power and control. Their egos get in the way of their intelligence and reason. Bloomberg’s bloated ego was convinced that we, the people, will vote for him no matter what he does. We have to give him a reality check and pull the lever for another who may not slap us around. I certainly won’t vote foranother egomaniac, namely Anthony Weiner.
Let’s turn New York upside down and check out other people’s records before we vote. It may change the minds of those who are against change. You know the, “we know what we have but don’t know what we will get” people. By the time the fresh new mayor’s ego kicks in, term limits will take place. You see, all elected officials have to learn how to recognize they are not protecting and serving US but are focused on their own self-serving needs.
