The space is about 8,100 sq. ft., features a patio with retractable windows and seats approximately 190 people. It is only the second restaurant, along with Applebee’s, that is directly located in the mall.
The staff of 285 employees went through a pre-opening, two-day training process on Thursday, October 20 and Friday, October 21. They have since familiarized themselves with the 250 menu items from The Cheesecake Factory, including bestsellers like the chicken madeira, spicy cashew chicken, steak Diane and Jamaica black pepper shrimp.
There are more than 30 types of cheesecakes, including the chocolate hazelnut crunch, salted caramel, toasted marshmallow s’mores galore, ultimate red velvet and white chocolate raspberry truffle.
The Queens Center location is the first New York City location for The Cheesecake Factory.
