Dear Editor:

On March 15, a few members of Chapter 32 of the Vietnam Veterans of America were invited to attend the Golden Gloves by John Baker of the I.B.E.W. Local 3. I attended and was treated like a V.I.P.

John Baker's brother, Tom Baker, was a devoted member of Local 3 and a decorated Vietnam veteran and proud member of Chapter 32.

When they announced that part of the evening's proceeds were going to VVA Chapter 32 for the work we do helping burying indigent veterans, the whole place gave a standing ovation. Then John Baker asked me to stand and I received a standing ovation.

It was a very nice and warm feeling to see a couple of thousand people cheering the chapter and myself. It was overwhelming to say the least. I was honored and proud to be there representing Chapter 32 and Vietnam Veterans of America.

Sincerely,

Paul Narson
