We were lucky enough to receive this in our inbox recently, the mother of all who's who political pictures!

Sure, we've been digging through our archives and sharing photos of a handful of elected officials from New York City's political past, but we can't compete with this one.

It was sent to us by State Senator Joseph Addabbo, Jr., and it is a picture from the day his father, Congressman Joseph Addabbo, Sr., was endorsed on the steps of what appears to be Queens Borough Hall for his 1984 re-election campaign by the late Ted Kennedy, the Democratic powerhouse and longtime senator from Massachusetts.

Alright you political wonks out there, how many people do you think you recognize?!

State Senator Addabbo also shared a story he remembered from that time. Apparently, the same day Kennedy endorsed his father for Congress, then-presidential candidate Walter Mondale also announced that he was selecting Forest Hills native Geraldine Ferraro as his running mate, the first woman on a presidential ticket for any major political party.

Addabbo said that Mondale personally called his father the next day and apologized for stealing his thunder and siphoning off all of the media coverage!

So how many faces do you recognize? Drop us a line at polposition@queensledger.com with you best guesses.
