Chip City, a famous cookie bakery with roots in Astoria, is opening it's first Sunnyside location at 45-05 40th St.–steps from the 40th Street subway station.

Christmas is coming early, as all customers at the grand opening will receive one free cookie with purchase.

Known best for having the largest, gooeyiest cookies  in Queens, this will be the Chip's sixth bakery since it was founded in Astoria in July 2017.

Chip City cookies are hand-made daily at a nearby commercial kitchen. Chip City delivers locally - offering unique four flavors per day, and ships regionally - packaging their large frozen cookie dough in sleek, branded packaging.

The first Chip launched at 30-06 34th St. In 2018 the company opened another in the Ditmars section of Astoria at 22-04 33rd St. Last year it opened a location in Long Island City—at 42-15 Crescent St.– and another in the West Village in Manhattan. Last month, it opened its first Brooklyn shop in Williamsburg.
