Over the Knights’ five matches for the week, Green finished with 36 kills (2.12 per set), a .262 hitting percentage and 17 total blocks.
Green came into her own during the Knights’ three-match road trip. She had a season-high 13 kills and five blocks in Friday’s 3-2 heartbreaking defeat at Southern New Hampshire. Green then combined for 18 kills, five blocks and a .720 hitting percentage over two matches at the Saint Anselm Tri-Match.
In the two matches, Green posted nine kills on an impressive .900 hitting percentage with three blocks in a 3-0 sweep over Merrimack, and again notched nine kills against Saint Anselm. Earlier in the week, she posted a season-best six blocks in a 3-0 sweep at Mercy.
The Jamaica native leads the Knights with 26 total blocks (0.72 per set), while the rookie is second on the team with 1.81 kills per set and third on the squad with a .209 hitting percentage.
Green and the Knights have a few days off before hitting the road for ECC matches at Roberts Wesleyan on October 13 and the following day at Daemen.
