Cyclone of the Week: It’s hard to find a player of the week during such a stretch, but one such player has to be pitcher Wesley Wrenn. Wrenn, a Greensboro, NC native, pitched 5.2 strong shutout innings against Staten Island on July 30, striking out five and helping Brooklyn to a 3-0 victory. On the season, Wrenn is 1-0 with a 2.92 ERA in seven appearances.
Upcoming Games: It’s worst and then first for the Cyclones, who play three games against Jamestown from August 7-9 and then three against Mahonig Valley from August 11-13. Jamestown is mired in last place in the Pickney division at 16-29, while Mahoning Valley is in first place at 28-17.
Upcoming Promotions: Saturday August 8 is fireworks night at Keyspan Park, and Sunday August 9 is Season Ticket Holder day, where ticketholders will get a bunch of different activities, including taking part in batting practice on the field.

The Cyclones return home on Friday, August 7th to host the Jamestown Jammers at KeySpan Park. That night the Cyclones will celebrate EMS and Civil Servant Night, presented by Municipal Credit Union. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will also receive a commemorative EMS T-Shirt presented by Midwood Ambulance. In addition, all fans in attendance will enjoy a post-game Fireworks show.
