The festival, which was held on Saturday, August 4 at the Littlefield Performance and Art Space, featured artists produced by Degraw Sound such as Queue, Eighty Ninety, Elliot & the Ghost, Kevin Daniel, Common Jack and more.
When Brooklynite, producer and owner of Degraw Sound Ben Rice dreamt up Degraw Fest, he set out to create an event where musicians and music lovers could come together to enjoy the music from up and coming local bands who record at his studio.
“At its best, Brooklyn has been a home for art and culture and as a creator, I’d like to see that tradition continue,” Rice said. “I think of Degraw Fest as a way for the studio to do its part in bringing together local musicians and continuing to foster the city’s music scene.”
The festival featured music from genres like indie, pop, rock, folk and Americana. Many of these artists are breaking ground both locally and globally. In addition to touring nationally and locally, they are finding themselves included in curated, exclusive playlists with international reach thanks to streaming services like Spotify.
Attendees had an opportunity to view an exhibit from music photographer Drew Reynolds, taste beer specials from Sixpoint Brewery and sample food from Howlin’ Taco.
