According to published reports, several members of the board’s Parks Committee protested that the Committee Chairman, Steven Fiedler, has a conflict of interest that prevents him from being open-minded about a dog run at Juniper Valley Park.
Although the borough president and her staff is reviewing the protest this week, the Executive Committee saw no reason the issue should be taken out of the hands of the Parks Committee.
Joe Pisano, president of the Juniper Valley Park Dog Association, which is advocating for a dog run, said he hopes a resolution can be reached soon.
“Only good things will happen from this,” Pisano said. “I don’t understand what the hold up is.”
