What is the Housing Works? The Housing Works is an amazing, nationally recognized organization that has saved the lives of over 20,000 New Yorkers and their families living with HIV and AIDS since 1990. Their mission, headed by president Charles King, provides food, housing, shelter, safe practices education, job training, legal services and counseling for all those in need living with the disease.
The Housing Works Stores throughout the five boroughs provide the daily means for the survivors who depend on this reputable foundation each day. They collect donations of clothing, electronics, house wares, books, furniture, etc. from the generous citizens of our great city. The items that don’t make it into the stores go to the warehouse.
