Regarding Joyce Shepard's 2/9 letter "Impeach Trump," President Richard Nixon was not impeached as the letter stated.

He resigned on August 9, 1974, while facing certain impeachment for his

role in the Watergate scandal. President Bill Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives on December 19, 1998, for lying about his affair with intern Monica Lewinsky in a sworn deposition.

He was acquitted by the Senate three months later.
