Dean Editor:

Now that election time is approaching, we see the candidates making personal attacks on their opponents. I really think that they should tell us where they stand on the issues because that is the reason why we should or should not vote for them.

Just about no one running for public office can say that they have no skeletons in their closet. It also shouldn't make any difference if they are running on the Republican or Democratic ticket because both parties are not so different.

They always seem to vote for more spending and bigger government. I have known good people who have run in both parties. Let's see more honest campaigning to help us determine why we should vote for a candidate rather than why we shouldn't vote for his opponent.

Sincerely,

Janet McCarthy
