Within the last few days, the television news media reported that the New Jersey legislature is considering the topic of gay marriage.
The New Jersey legislature should be smarter and wiser than the New York State legislature. It should put the the issue on the election ballot as a referendum for the entire state of New Jersey to decide.

It is so funny to me that people complain when legislators don't act, then claim that legislators should send issues to the voters when they do act.
What is the point of having a state legislative body if all they do is send issues to the voters?
