This pre-holiday season, the Queens Ledger will be throwing its first Annual BQE Design Expo on Saturday, November 13th at Holliswoods Community Church in Queens Village! The Expo will feature local designers from Queens, as well as surrounding boroughs, as they showcase their purchasable designs to get you in the holiday spirit. Event is FREE to the public, $30.00 for vendors until October 15th and $40.00 after the 15th.

Check out some of the participating designers this week and in the weeks to come!

Angels N Divas

Accessory and women’s wear designer Eryka Becker’s trademark this season is her nature-inspired line using all-natural fabrics, animal prints and feathers. The line will appeal to any fashion forward woman from 20 to 45 who isn’t afraid of color or standing out in a crowd. Her signature feather earrings have taken on a life of their own, as she constantly has people stopping her on the streets to ask her where she got them. Becker makes all of her jewelry by hand, so each piece is truly one-of-a-kind. Says the designer, “Feathers are like fingerprints; no two are alike.” The rest of her collection consists of dresses, skirts, leggings and more, all artfully coordinated with her jewelry line.

Angels N Divas was recently featured in Queens Fashion Week for its Spring 2011 collection, which presents unusual colors, vibrant textures and original fashion as ‘wearable art.’ Expect a collection that is entertaining and special for a unique, fashion forward customer.

Keep up with Becker at angels.divas@yahoo.com, search for Angels N Divas on Facebook or find the label at the BQE Design Expo on November 13th.
