Dear Editor,

New emails released in December reveal that just 91 minutes after President Donald Trump’s "perfect call" to President Volodymyr Zelensky, the order went out to the Department of Defense to withhold aid to Ukraine.

Lev Parnas has come out and said Trump was personally involved, and the Government Accountability Office declared Trump broke the law when he withheld the aid.

Trump always wanted his presidency to go down in history. And now he has succeeded, as he will go down in history as the third president to be impeached.

As Nancy Pelosi put it, "he's impeached forever because he used the office of president to try to influence a foreign country for his personal and political benefit and doing so he undermined our national security, he was disloyal to his oath of office to protect the Constitution and he placed in jeopardy the integrity of our election."

Seventy percent of Americans want witnesses called at the Senate impeachment trial. If Mitch McConnell declines to do so and immediately calls for a vote to end the "trial," our once great nation will be thrown in the trash heap of history.

Hopefully in November, we can begin digging it out.
