Mission Statement: Martin Luther School has adopted a model of academic education in keeping with the NYS chartered independent school. The curriculum is that of the Advanced Placement Program of the College Board. Students take AP courses and exams leading to college admission, college credit, and placement into advanced college courses. MLS offers this initiative as part of its quality Christian education.

Martin Luther School also offers the Regents program as part of the high school curriculum. The Regents Exams are available in English, Algebra, World Studies, U.S. History and Living Environment. This addition will help our students when applying to CUNY and SUNY schools.

Martin Luther School juniors and seniors had their first taste of college recently, as we kicked off our partnership with Monroe College and their Intro to Criminal Justice course. Students who successfully complete this free course will earn three college credits.

Martin Luther School’s ministry recently expanded to include middle school for students in grades 6, 7 and 8. The students have the opportunity to participate in athletics, music, drama and more as part of the curriculum.

To better communicate with our students and parents, MLS students enroll in PrepHQ, an Online college and career guidance program, and Edline, an online grade reporting program. Both provide up-to-date information on the student progress for students, parents and school personnel.

International students receive additional help in assimilating to our school and culture through daily ESL courses as well as weekly meetings with our International Coordinators, who counsel and support the student’s academic, spiritual and social lives.

Alumni are involved in our school, not only through reunions, but as contributors to Career Day, volunteer service, membership on boards and committees and as donors.

This year, Martin Luther School was re-accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Universities.
