Secretary Ray Mabus intends to break with centuries of tradition and stop all identification of sailors by their rank titles to make the Navy more politically correct.
What he doesn’t understand is that either it be a man or a woman, they are proud of their job tittles and see it a status symbol they have earned. I served in the United States Navy as a boiler technician, and I was proud of the job I did.
I believe the Navy has more important problems to deal with than mess with the morale of our sailors. Our sailors want to be recognized for a job well done.
