The Knights earned a ranking of 14th in the WDIIB Preseason Top 25 Poll, while Madison Rowland was named to the Super 16 All-American Team, representing the East region.
WDIIB also recognized MacKenzie Rowland as a Preseason All-American Honorable Mention.
Madison Rowland, a Women’s Division II Bulletin Fourth Team All-American last season, helped QC claimed its second straight ECC Championship.
She averaged 20.8 ppg, tops in the ECC and eighth in the country, along with 9.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Her 4.4 steals per game led both the ECC and the country for the third straight season.
Through 81 games, Rowland has tallied 1678 points, the second-highest total in program history at the Division II level and third overall. She heads into her final campaign 68 points shy of the Knights’ Division II career points record of 1745 held by Shonda Holder.
She also ranks in the top five all-time in rebounds, top 10 in assists and holds the three highest single-season totals in steals.
A season ago, under the direction of head coach Bet Naumovski, the Knights won the East Coast Conference Championship for the second consecutive season, finishing with a record of 21-9.
