A welcome distraction from the Mets’ inconsistent play of late, the Queens Business Expo May 21 at Citi Field drew the best of the Queens business world for a day-long networking extravaganza that might have set a record for business cards exchanged in a single afternoon. The Queens Chamber of Commerce hosted the event.
On hand to give out free pens, stress balls and other giveaways were roughly 75 businesses that call Queens home.
They included national companies with local offices like Citibank and Pearl Vision to city businesses such as one selling digitally-printed signs based out of Corona, another that makes specialty honey spreads, and several borough news media organizations.
The expo attracted hundreds of borough residents eager to discover the latest in regional commerce, or just get a glimpse of the Mets new ballpark.
