Dear Editor,

On the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Sandy's sweep across the Northeast, there are still many people in our region who have not been able to return to their homes that were destroyed. These people should not still be dealing with bureaucratic red tape.

As we look back to this destructive and frightening storm's effects, there have been significant improvements to the infrastructure that will certainly help to reduce the potential destruction from future storms. However, much work still needs to be done in that area.

Sincerely,

John Amato
