I wonder if all those talking about what they perceive as "hate" in Charlottesville are willing to see other forms as well.
Since that event, there have been three attacks on police officers, a Missouri State politician advocated the assassination of Donald Trump, and police officers support Colin Kaepernick, who has no great love for this country.
In 2016, my car was keyed, lawn sign removed, and I was attacked for showing support for Donald Trump, as were many others. The media barely covered it.
And in October, when Columbus Day celebrations take place, there will be the usual cadre of haters with their actions toward Italian-Americans and the man who discovered America.
Three things seem apparent to me. Hate comes from all sides, those who claim to oppose it only see the forms they wish, and anyone who they disagree with has no right to expression.
