What a difference in how two sides react to loss and adversity.
In 2008 when Barack Obama won the presidency, there were people who were unhappy about it and felt he was taking the nation on the wrong course. Their strategy: organize, form the Tea Party, raise money and vote.
Fast forward to 2017 and people unhappy with the election of Donald Trump. Their strategy: protest and deny opponents the right to speak.
It was precisely this behavior that occurred at the 1968 Democratic Convention and played a part in costing Hubert Humphrey the election.
It sure looks like on that side not much has changed and history repeats itself.
