Dear Editor:

The tragic bus crash that killed 14 and injured 18 others in the Bronx  needs to be thoroughly investigated. How fast was the bus traveling?

It must have been going at an excessively high rate of speed for it to slide over 400 feet along the guardrail before crashing into the sign pole which sliced right through the roof. Also, was the driver fatigued?

Another point that needs to be looked at is his claim that he was cut off by a truck. All of these factors are so very important.

Unfortunately, there are 14 families who are mourning the loss of their loved ones, and another 18 families who are dealing with the severe injuries of their loved ones.

Hopefully, they will make a full recovery, as well as the bus driver. Our thoughts and prayers go out to relatives of all the dead and injured.

Sincerely,

John Amato
