DAKAR, Senegal (AP) — Gambia has become the third African nation to say it will leave the International Criminal Court, deepening fears of a mass pullout from the body that pursues some of the world's worst atrocities.

The operation mostly passed off peacefully, although some tents and shelters were torched in a last gesture of defiance as the refugees saw their hopes of a new life in Britain vanish. "This is the end of the 'Jungle'," Calais' regional prefect Fabienne Buccio said.
