(Reuters) - A 23-year-old man who barricaded himself in his mother's house in a St. Louis suburb and spoke of a "black revolution" was shot and killed by police when he rushed at them with a knife, authorities said on Saturday. His death follows a string of police shootings around the United States, many involving African Americans, that have raised questions about the use of force by law enforcement. St. Louis County police did not say whether the man was black and could not immediately be reached for comment. In November, a Missouri grand jury's decision to bring no charges against an officer who fatally shot an unarmed black man in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson triggered a wave of protests from coast to coast.
