This NOAA satellite image taken Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at 12:45 a.m. EST shows a long frontal boundary extending from the Atlantic Ocean into the eastern Gulf of Mexico, which is causing a line of rain showers and thunderstorms to develop over the southeastern United States. Behind this front, there is subsidence stabilizing a small area from Wisconsin into the lower Mississippi River Valley which is clearing up the skies. Florida is mainly being affected by the heavy line of thunderstorms with isolated cells off to the east of the Carolinas. A complex low pressure system is also currently over the Northern Plains causing a mixture of rain and snow to fall across this area and other regions of the country. (AP Photo/Weather Underground)MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) — One of the busiest, most stressful travel days of the year posed special challenges in the crowded Washington-to-Boston corridor as travelers on their way to Thanksgiving celebrations contended with a nor'easter packing rain and snow.
