Mexican soldiers launched a crackdown against the Zetas -- the country's largest and most powerful drug gang -- in 2012Mexican federal forces captured Zetas drug cartel leader Omar Trevino outside the northern industrial city of Monterrey early Wednesday, dealing a new blow to the gang, officials told AFP. The suspect known as "Z-42" was detained by federal police and soldiers in the suburb of San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon state, the two federal officials said on condition of anonymity. Trevino, 41, took the helm of the Zetas after his brother, Miguel Angel Trevino, "Z-40," was captured by marines in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas in July 2013.

(Reuters) - When the U.S. Supreme Court takes up the new challenge to President Barack Obama’s healthcare law on Wednesday, the justices will hear from two experienced attorneys with dueling views and contrasting styles. DONALD VERRILLI U.S. Solicitor General Donald Verrilli, 57, will defend the law for the Obama administration. When Verrilli argued on behalf of the law the first time, in 2012, news and political commentators lambasted him. “This was a train wreck for the Obama administration,” CNN legal commentator Jeffrey Toobin said at the time, contending Verrilli’s style was shaky and his responses ineffective.
