U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry speaks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri before a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in CairoThe United States and Egypt began strategic dialogue talks on Sunday, their first since their relationship was strained by the military ouster of President Mohamed Mursi after mass protests against his rule in 2013. Despite U.S. lawmakers' concerns that Egypt is lagging on democratic reforms, Egypt remains one of Washington's closest security allies in the region. Karpeles is suspected of manipulating data on the exchange's computer system in 2013 to artificially create about $1.0 million in Bitcoins, while police were also investigating his possible involvement in a massive loss of the virtual currency in 2014.

File picture shows Turkish soldiers at a check point in Diyarbakir, in the Kurdish-dominated southeast of the countryTwo Turkish soldiers were killed and at least two dozen other troops were wounded early Sunday in a suicide attack blamed on Kurdish militants, as Ankara kept up its air campaign against the rebels' bases in northern Iraq. The attack in the Dogubayazit district of the eastern Agri province is the first time Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants have been accused of staging a suicide attack in the current crisis, amid an escalating cycle of violence that appears to have no end in sight. Ankara has launched a two-pronged "anti-terror" offensive against Islamic State (IS) jihadists in Syria and PKK militants based in northern Iraq after a wave of attacks inside Turkey.
