ISTANBUL (AP) — Turkey's president has criticized the United States, Russia and Iran for their presence in Syria and said their unwillingness to depose Syrian President Bashar Assad was contributing to Syrians' pain.
World number two Andy Murray and defending champion Stan Wawrinka edged closer to a French Open semi-final duel when they reached the last-eight on Sunday. Murray made the quarter-finals for the sixth time with a 7-6 (11/9), 6-4, 6-3 win over John Isner of the United States. The 29-year-old, a three-time semi-finalist, will face either Japan's Kei Nishikori or Richard Gasquet, the last French player standing, in the last-eight.
