Afghan policemen arrive near the site of an attack in Kabul, AfghanistanKABUL (Reuters) - The Taliban claimed responsibility for an overnight attack on a guesthouse in the diplomatic enclave of the Afghan capital that ended on Wednesday morning after a stand-off with Afghan government forces. The Afghan interior ministry said the militants had been armed with a rocket-propelled grenade launcher and other weapons. All four attackers were killed and no other casualties were reported. The Irish government is to sell its 25 percent stake in flag carrier Aer Lingus to British Airways owner International Airlines Group, the transport minister said on TuesdayThe Irish government is to sell its 25-percent stake in flag carrier Aer Lingus to International Airlines Group after receiving assurances on the airline's future, the transport minister said. The sale has been a hot topic for Dublin, with severe opposition within the junior government coalition party, Labour, and from unions who warned about implications for jobs and connectivity. To quell opposition IAG made commitments on the future of the airline, promising to maintain the brand, sustain its existing routes, create new jobs and ensure the airline's lucrative landing slots at London's Heathrow airport would not be sold for seven years.

Re/code's parent company, Revere Digital, said in a release that being acquired by Vox would provide access to resources and an online publishing platform that will help it broaden its reach. "Our work will now be amplified and enhanced by Vox Media's deep and broad skill set," Re/code founders Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg said in a post online at recode.net.
