NEW DELHI (AP) — As President Barack Obama and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met in New Delhi this week, the shadow of a third player hung over the talks: neighboring China, which has complicated relationships with both the United States and India.
In this photo by Shizuo Kambayashi, actor Johnny Depp kneels to give autographs to fans as he and his fiancee Amber Heard arrive at Haneda international airport in Tokyo to promote his latest film. "Mortdecai," also starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor, went into wide release in the U.S. over the weekend and opens in Japan on Feb. 6. The eccentric heist comedy tanked at the box office, making an estimated $4.1 million in North America and $5.2 million elsewhere, adding to a string of duds for Depp. The actor was greeted at the airport by about 1,000 screaming fans, some of them wearing mustaches in imitation of Depp's film character.
