A soccer match to be played on Saturday by Maccabi Haifa and Paderborn will be moved due to security concerns after a violent anti-Israel protest disrupted the Israeli team's last game in Austria. "The match will take place at 1700 (1500 GMT) tomorrow but not in Kirchbichl," Hannes Empl, head of the SLFC organization that organizes soccer training camps in the Salzburg region, told Reuters by telephone on Friday. Protesters against Israel's military offensive in Gaza ran onto the pitch and attacked Maccabi Haifa players at a friendly game against Lille in the Austrian town of Bischofshofen on Wednesday, causing the match to be abandoned.

By Nidal al-Mughrabi and Noah Browning GAZA (Reuters) - As the United States and regional powers strive for a ceasefire between Israel and Gaza militants, the impoverished enclave faces a daunting recovery, such is the scale of damage after almost three weeks of fighting. In 2012 the United Nations had already recommended urgent action to improve basic services for Gaza's mushrooming population or the place would be uninhabitable by 2020. The cost of rebuilding Gaza homes destroyed so far in Israeli bombing amounts to $800 million - the whole of Gaza's annual budget - the Palestinian housing minister told Reuters. "We cannot make a definite estimate under fire ... Once the war is over, the ministry plans to call on all the countries of the world to assist in the rebuilding of Gaza," he told Reuters.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) called on Friday for a humanitarian corridor to be set up in Gaza to allow aid workers to evacuate the wounded and bring in life-saving medicines. WHO officials have discussed the proposal with both Israeli and Egyptian officials, but there has been no response yet, WHO spokesman Paul Garwood said. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry pressed regional proxies to agree on a Gaza ceasefire on Friday as the death toll soared to over 800. In a statement, the U.N. health agency said that it was difficult for the sick and wounded to get access to health care and that some needed to leave the coastal strip for treatment.
