The squad competes in the Liga de Guatemala, a Brooklyn-based summer league that draws soccer fans to the park on weekend afternoons for back-to-back 60-minute games.
Players on the team were recruited from all over the borough, after proving themselves in pick-up games like the well-known run at the Dodge YMCA in Downtown Brooklyn.
The season runs through the end of September, when the winning team walks away with the league championship.
