Thank you for printing the “R.I.P. Amy” letter on July 28, 2011. I also felt such deep compassion and sorrow for Amy Winehouse and her family . I was particularly sad because she was so young.
At the same time, (and I don't mean to sound selfish), I felt grateful for my drug-free and sober life that is so often taken for granted. I do wish that in the near future, young people or anyone that needs help will save themselves a lifetime of emotional and physical pain by seeking out good help. It's there, please want it!
