The main problem with the Republicans is that they are focused on validating Bush's economic and foreign policies that just didn't go far enough. The Republican's singular electoral strategy is to keep Americans as unhappy for as long as possible hoping to undermine the present administration.
Watching the Republican debates and watching the messages from the candidates suggests a mob mentality. Every day, Republicans attempt to control the political dialog and conversation with false or misleading comments filled with innuendo.
What people fail to realize here is that when a president (Obama) takes over after the beginning of a depression caused by the previous leader (Bush), it takes anywhere from five to ten years to fully recover from the mistakes of the past.
Did Obama miscalculate the depth of the crisis? Yes. Will that impede his ability to bring this country back from those depths? No.
When our economy tanked in October 2008, that was a month before Barack Obama was elected and three months before he took office. And who was still in the White House? Bush.
And you expect Obama to be able to instantly fix eight years of idiocy? Realism people, learn to use it wisely.
