Valley National Bank was recently acquired by the State Bank of Long Island, allowing new branches to form in the area. With six branches in Queens, Valley National Bank also has locations in Nassau and Suffolks County, Brooklyn and Manhattan.
A regional bank headquarted in Wayne, New Jersey, Valley National Bank is one of the largest commercial banks, founded in 1927.
Robert Volkomer, the branch manager of Valley National Bank in Maspeth, said that he hoped to reach out to the local community more at their merged location. “We want to get our name out more,” he said.
With a focus on communicating with the client, Executive Vice President of Valley National Bank, Bernadette M. Mueller, said the organization placed a high priority on customer service.
State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., also came out to show his support for the bank by helping with the ribbon cutting. He attended the event as part of the business networking session.
