A hunt is underway for a bandit who approached a 47-year-old woman from behind in Rego Park and forcibly took her purse. Police say that the unidentified man struck on the evening of February 14 at approximately 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of 99th Street and 62nd Avenue. The suspect is described as being 20 to 25 years old, between 6'0 and 6'3" tall, and thinly built. Surveillance cameras captured his image as he attempted to obtain a cash advance from the victim's credit card at 97-15 Queens Boulevard.
