Over the years, we have stopped using certain words to describe black, Jewish, homosexuals, and Latinos because we know that they are vile and degrade people. In the past these words justified harm to these groups.
Yet we allow women to be called "b*tches," which justifies violence and humiliation against women. Women become less than human. One of the ways to stop this from happening, one small but important way, is to make the word inappropriate and shameful to use as is with other terms. It has to become the "b" word, and we should not allow it in our culture.
