On June 29, Robin Hamilton, 45, of Hollis and Sharhonda Hart, 28, of Staten Island were behind the wheel when two male suspects exited the car on Slocum Crescent and reportedly robbed three women at gunpoint.
According to a report from the Queens District Attorney’s office, the men stole credit cards, jewelry, pocketbooks, two iPhones, an iPad, a camera and cash.
Video surveillance later shows Hart and Hamilton pulling up to a gas station at 1802 Atlantic Avenue in a white Ford Fusion and charging roughly $41 to a credit card belonging to one of the women the two men robbed.
Hart told police they picked up the two male suspects, who she claimed coerced them into driving the getaway car and assisting in the crime after convincing that they owed them a favor from a previous affiliation.
Hamilton said the men convinced her that one of her girlfriends locked up on identity theft, “gave them up” on separate charges in Suffolk County, Hamilton said in the report.
The Queens DA has currently left the two male suspects unnamed.
The women have been charged with robbery, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, identity theft and unlawful possession of personal identification information, according to reports.
