After watching Sean Johnson light up the CHSAA playoffs in March, the only one question remained: where would the star senior play college ball?

That question was answered last week when Johnson signed a letter of intent to play for Duquesne University. The 6-foot-2-inch Johnson will bring his strength, speed, and scoring ability to a deep Dukes team that made it to the second round of the NIT tournament before falling to Virginia Tech.

Johnson was a force for the Royals last season, powering Christ the King to its first CHSAA Brooklyn Queens championship in three years and to the CHSAA intersectional championship game where the Royals fell to Rice High School. In fact, Johnson’s efforts earned him CHSAA MVP honors.
