Limited vs. local on the B41

Dear Editor:

I've been writing about this situation for over three years, but I'm sure the problem has been going on for a lot longer. I've made complaints to the Community Assistance Desk at Borough Hall, district leaders (both past and present), newspapers and the MTA itself, all to no avail.

The B41 bus currently runs along Flatbush Avenue to Downtown Brooklyn with three limited buses for every local bus. No matter the time of day, that local is always full to over flowing.

I cannot count the number of times the bus I was on was full, standing-room only. What is being done to accommodate the people who live in between the limited stops? There is often three to four blocks to walk from a limited stop back to where people live.

And the limited buses are usually half empty. Why can't we have two limited and two local buses? It's not rocket science and it would help a great deal.

Sincerely,

Sue Yellin
