More than 300 people attended the recent Woodhaven WORKS Little League 2015 Awards Ceremony celebrating the achievements of local young athletes on the field during this past baseball season.

WORKS President Terry Flanagan said that for more than a half-century the league has thrived because of strong local sponsorship and active parent participation.

“This is a wonderful experience for the players and their families,” Flanagan said at event, held at the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens on Atlantic Avenue. “They have fun and learn sportsmanship playing a game they love. The kids receiving trophies put in the work and deserve the honor and public recognition from the community.”

Team registration is currently open for next spring at a cost of $100 for the season. For more information call (718) 847-9633.
