Cable conundrum

Dear Editor,

I have been paying for cable for a number of years now, and I don't understand a few things.

The original idea behind cable, in my opinion, is that the consumer could watch various programs with fewer or no advertisements. That's what I thought I was paying for, and yet cable gets our money and than gets commercial money.

In the end they are getting paid twice. What a great deal for cable at the

expense of hard-working consumers.
