Brooklyn Borough Hall has a revamped gift shop and tourism center for visitors and Brooklyn residents alike to enjoy. The original concept of former Borough President Marty Markowitz, it is being expanded upon by Borough President Eric Adams and Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce CEO Carlo Scissura.

“Reinvigorating the Brooklyn Tourism Visitors Center and Gift Shop has long been a dream of mine, and the partnership with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is turning that into reality,” said Adams. “Tourists want a memorable experience when they travel, and our new and improved center will set the stage for a day trip, weekend getaway, or longer excursion.”

The new center provides visitors with dining, lodging, recreation and shopping options and access to Explore Brooklyn, the borough's dedicated tourism site. The chamber will be working with its members to provide items from local artisans and small businesses for the gift shop.

“Brooklyn is one of the world’s most iconic places, and in recent years it has become a destination for millions of international and domestic visitors alike,” said Scissura. “Through the Visitor Center, each neighborhood across Brooklyn – from Coney Island and Sheepshead Bay to Crown Heights and Brownsville – will be promoted to tourists, so they spend their time and money in our businesses.”
