The sit-in by Democrats in Congress to protest the failure of new gun law legislation may have ended, but the fight has only just begun.
It is time for Congress to unite as one legislative body and do the right thing and pass tougher gun laws. The NRA has far too much political power and too much influence. Politicians must stand up for what their constituents want, not what the NRA wants.
As long as the NRA continues to block these new gun laws, more innocent Americans will be killed. Congress must get off their overpaid and underworked backsides and do the job that the American people elected them to do. Stop bowing to political pressure.
