Months after protestors filled the streets near the Holiday Inn, there is now a new reason to head down to the intersection of Maurice Ave. and the LIE Service Road Eastbound.

The new reason involves heavenly brick oven pizza, savory chicken parm, meatball , & philly cheese steak sliders, divine italian pasta entrees, and a full bar.

In the parking lot where McDonalds sits, residents are now flocking to the new healthier, better tasting, local alternative to anything else you will find in a part of Maspeth that is traveled through more than traveled to.

Maspeth residents, Lou Selamaj and Rich Adamiak have been friends for over 20 years. Lou is a retired NYPD seargent and Rich is a former member of the military, as well as a past manager at Peter Luger ‘s steakhouse in BK.

The idea formed as they were driving by the area; they looked at each other and at the same time said, “Why is there not a pizzeria here?”. From that moment, their knowledge of the restaurant business, modern rennovation, and the Maspeth community helped establish The Maspeth Pizza House.

“Maspeth is a hard working, middle class community that deserves good things for the money they earn. We want to provide great food at affordable prices,” said Selamaj.

Right now, the MPH is ideal for lunch, happy hour, and a nice intimate dinner. Happy hour is Monday - Friday from 4-7PM, and appetizers, 10’ pizza, beers, and cocktails are half price.

Are you sports fan? The bar is fully stocked and there are 6 large flatscreens... so you won’t have to miss an NCAA March Madness basketball game. You will also be able to yell at the Knicks as they lose and cheer for the Rangers as they win without having to change the channel!

I had an excellent experience at the Maspeth Pizza House,” said Maspeth resident Iva Pannone.” “The Pasta puttanesca and the margherita pie were delicious! The prices are great and the service is phenomenal. The decor is more of an industrial look, and there are lots of TVs for anyone looking to watch the game. It’s a nice addition to the neighborhood.”

In less than a month, Lou and Rich are opening a large attached dining room space that will fit up to 100 people.

Large parties will be welcomed. You can expect karaoke and trivia nights as well.

The large parking lot is one of only a few in Maspeth large enough to handle the volume that the MPH will soon receive.

After residents have a good experience here, we are confident that they will spread the word to other people,” said Adamiak, who went to Christ the King HS in Middle Village

The Maspeth Pizza House is located at 55-60 60th Street Maspeth, NY 11378 (McDonalds Parking Lot). Their phone number is 718.326.1222. They deliver and cater.
