Organized by Waste Management as part of the Great American Cleanup Campaign, volunteers, which ranged from ordinary residents to various youth and civic groups in the area, were given the tools and materials to rid Rust Street of the trash and waste that has accumulated over the years. Waste Management also provided lunch.
