The Queens Symphony Orchestra will perform Friday, June 9th at 7:30pm at Maspeth Federal Savings Bank parking lot on 69th Street and Grand Avenue. The free concert will celebrate 375 years of Maspeth. On March 27th, 1642, Dutch Governor William Kieft granted a patent to Englishman Francis Doughty, which included 6,666 acres of land, including the western portion of what is now Queens County. This is the first concert in the Maspeth Federal Savings Summer Concert/Movie Series held Wednesday nights throughout the summer. Funds for this concert are provided by Councilwoman Elizabeth Crowley.
