Patrick Goldberg has been tapped to lead men’s and women’s cross country teams at St. Joseph’s College.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to guide St. Joseph’s College cross country in this next chapter in program history,” said Goldberg. “Along with the rest of the athletic department, we will aim to achieve success in the Skyline and beyond.”

No stranger to the Skyline Conference, Goldberg joins the Bears after an illustrious career at College of Mount Saint Vincent, where he served as captain and earned All-Skyline First Team honors in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and named Rookie of the Year in 2013.

The Dolphins’ record holder in the eight-kilometer, five-kilometer and five-mile distances, Goldberg was also the president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the manager of the men’s basketball team before receiving his Bachelor of Arts in business administration in May.

A Rockaway native, Goldberg possesses strong ties to the local high school cross country scene, having served as assistant coach at York Prep and an alumnus of Archbishop Molloy High School.

“We are excited for him to take the reigns, work and recruit future Bears to strengthen our programs,” said James Lally, director of Athletics and Recreation.
